Job summary

MSA Safety is hiring a Production Technician II for Final Assembly at our Cranberry Township, PA plant. 2nd shift runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with starting pay of $27.35/hr and 1 opening.

The role involves assembling and testing moderately complex instruments, reading drawings, performing inspections, and maintaining paperwork. You will operate tools and assist with material transfers while ensuring quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must attain ability to perform complex SAP transactions.
• Infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
• Regularly perform work that requires magnification.
• Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and small components.
• Use power and hand tools, pallet jack, and equipment.
• Communicate with various levels within the organization.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.

Now Hiring a Production Technician II for Final Assembly at our manufacturing plant in Cranberry Township, PA.The responsibilities of this position are primarily to:

• Assemble and test (including set-up), moderately complex instruments and/or sub-assemblies requiring wiring and soldering.


• Transfer material to shipping dock.


• Perform visual inspections and minor repairs and rework.


• Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.


• Read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.


• Understand standard units of measure and set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.


• Perform standard software operations.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Must attain ability to perform complex SAP transactions.


• Infrequently stand in a stationary position and lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.


• Work on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.


• Regularly perform work that requires magnification.


• Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.


• Use power and hand tools, custom tooling and operate a pallet jack.


• Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.


• Work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize and organize work.


• Work in a team environment.


• Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.


• Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.


• Wear ANSI Z87 approved safety glasses and other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis.

Education and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• 6 months manufacturing or similar experience.

Education and Experience Preferred:

• Past soldering experience.


• Able to use excel and understand how to interpret numbers / decimals.
