Job Summary

Packers are experts in ensuring all guitars are packed, identified, labeled, and sealed correctly for customer delivery. They have a complete understanding of the various accessories that should accompany each specific guitar model. They also have a thorough understanding of guitar quality and can meet the requirements of the job in a timely manner.

Essential Functions

  • Place the completed guitars in their respective case along with correct accessories and inserts.
  • Identify, package, seal and label the completed guitar case according to the correct specifications for each model.
  • Palletize completed boxes and prep for transfer over to the distribution center.
  • Follow the best practices of manufacturing and material handling requirements.
  • Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules.
  • Obligation to submit safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code.
  • Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and packing instructions for each model of guitar.
  • Ability to work standing and walking continuously during scheduled shift hours.
  • Comfortable working within a diverse team independently as well as collaborating with others.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change.
  • Ability to recognize challenges and come up with solutions in a timely manner.

Required Education and Experience
