  • Achieve a 95% pass rate based on production requirements.
  • Understand and meet quality standards (Specs).
  • Maintain product flow at an appropriate rate.
  • Adhere to department protocols (5S and Safety).
  • Observe and report safety hazards using the QR code; support the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Repair Technician is responsible for in-house repairs on guitars that range from basic to expert level repairs. The role is a blend of craftsmanship and quality that focuses on industry standards. Previous guitar repair experience is required.

Essential Functions
  • · Learn and participate in all aspects of repair.
  • · Repair work includes: finishing, electronics, fretwork.
  • · Candidates will be responsible for knowledge of completely dismantling a guitar to its basic components and rebuilding the guitar.
  • · Provide repair work to other departments as necessary.
  • · Learn and execute standard operating procedures.
  • · 95% pass rate based on production requirements.
  • · Understands and meets quality standards (Specs.)
  • · Maintains product flow at appropriate rate.
  • · Adheres to department protocols (5S and Safety)
  • · Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules.
  • · Obligation to submit safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code.
  • · Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes.
  • · Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
