Job summary

Baxter is seeking a Manufacturing Operator in Final Assembly at Skaneateles Falls, NY. You will perform routine assemblies, inspections, packing and sub-assemblies using basic tools and pre-assigned output levels.

This role requires good manual dexterity, ability to read blueprints, adapt to automation, and teamwork. Must lift 40 lbs and may work overtime; HS diploma and 1 year assembly experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards.
• Rotate among stations to cover department needs and cross-train.
• Use blueprints, diagrams and process sheets to determine setup procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.
• Handle basic chemicals and simple machinery for sub-assemblies.
• Work with a diverse group of people and assist higher-level Assemblers as needed.
• Diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions and coordinate with supervisors to resolve.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts of completed work and monitor schedule, quality and quantity.
• Package component parts or assemblies for shipment with proper protection.
