Job summary

ABB Inc. in Pinetops, NC is seeking a production associate to support achieving daily production targets. You will read and interpret technical diagrams for assembly of products and operate shop-floor machinery onsite at the Pinetops facility.

Responsibilities include performing assembly, packing when integrated with lines, manual work with light tools, and conducting regular quality testing while maintaining clean work areas and following SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.
• Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.
• Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.
• Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.
