Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company seeks an Assembly Technician for the Lexington, VA facility. You will use prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams to assemble copper and metal components, including brazing, to ensure the reliability of our cooling systems.

Shift B is Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6pm to 6am, starting pay around $24.23/hour with increases after 9 months and a $1.50/hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models to meet production specs.

Responsibilities

• Using manual and powered hand tools to assemble units per customer specs.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and water circuits per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical systems.
• Measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assemblies.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists and processes.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks as needed.

Position Description

An Assembler Technician is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line.This position will be responsible for assembling and joining copper and other metal components using brazing techniques to ensure the integrity and efficiency of our cooling systems.This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overheadhoistsand fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from thework station. Chiller Assembly Techniciansare responsible foradhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands. The Chiller Assembly Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.

Hours: Shift B- Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6pm-6am

Pay: Starting Rate is $24.23/hour after 9 months the pay rate will increase to $26.23

Shift Differential : 3rd Shift is &1.50/hour

Location: Lexington, VA 24450

Key Responsibilities
