Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Final Assembler to complete the finishing touches on high-quality products before shipment. You will perform bag-and-tag assembly, verify unit readiness, and prepare items for shipping with proper packaging and decals.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, measuring tolerances, and using cranes and tools to ensure accuracy. This role emphasizes safety, precision, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience including use of small hand tools in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Some experience assembling HVAC equipment is desirable.
• Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final assembly process (referred to as bag and tag).
• Completing the final checklist of tasks for that particular unit.
• Preparing loose items for shipment and boxing them for transit.
• Referring any defective parts for repair or correction.
• Preparing unit for shipment with decals, stretch wrap, plywood, etc.
• Using overhead cranes, power tools, wrenches, levels, etc.
• Performing measurements and reading drawings for design and tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the final assembly process (referred to as "bag and tag")
• Completing the final checklist of tasks for that particular unit.
• Cleaning unit inside and out.Checking caulking of unit.
• Preparing loose items (such as components, filters, etc.) for shipment by boxing them and placing them inside the unit.
• Referring any defective parts of the unit for repair or correction to the appropriate personnel.
• Preparing unit for shipment with decals, stretch wrap, plywood, etc.
• Using overhead cranes, power tools, wrenches, levels, etc.
• Performing mathematical calculations involving addition and subtraction of dimensions represented decimally or in fractions.
• Reading drawings for design, dimensions, and tolerances.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Shop courses or equivalent experience is helpful.
• Three years of work experience including use of small hand tools in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Some experience assembling HVAC equipment is desirable
