Job summary

Donaldson is seeking an Engineer for the Current Products Engineering team to support designs of industrial dust, mist, and fume collectors. You will interface with manufacturing plants and CAD designers to maintain products, applying engineering principles and filtration expertise.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering (mechanical or civil/structural), 3+ years in industrial/manufacturing environments, and experience with metal product fabrication and downstream design impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering).
• 3+ years related professional work experience in industrial or manufacturing industry.
• Experience with fabricated metal products, manufacturing processes and the downstream impacts of design decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain products through knowledge and application of engineering and filtration principles.
• Implement value added solutions such as new technologies, cost reductions and quality improvements.
• Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned tasks.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing partners at our plants, suppliers, and CAD designers.
• Utilize Computer Aided Engineering systems to help evaluate designs.
• Ensure compliance with government and organization engineering standards.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Product Management, Applications Engineering, Field Service, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
• Prepare and present technical results and information in a clear and concise manner through drawings, specifications, reports, and oral presentations.
• Product testing, test setup, data analytics.
