Qualifications

• Meets Georgia certification requirements in appropriate field of education (Required)
• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education from a PSC approved college or university (Required)
• Previous teaching experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Plan instructional experiences based on the district AKS curriculum to promote intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development.
• Demonstrate command of the subject area being taught.
• Develop and prioritize short- and long-term instructional objectives based on district AKS.
• Identify prerequisite skills and knowledge needed for AKS mastery.
• Plan instruction to promote mastery of prerequisite skills.
• Analyze student work and assessments to determine instructional needs.
• Prepare written lesson plans to support AKS objectives for all students.
• Plan appropriate assessment of student learning.
• Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities to match learner needs.
• Provide clear learning objectives and connect content to prior knowledge and real-world applications.
• Organize content for presentation in a logical sequence and within instructional blocks.
• Utilize scientifically researched instructional strategies and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Provide formative and summative assessments and maintain records.
