Great Hearts Academies in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Fifth Grade Elementary School Teacher to deliver the Great Hearts curriculum with a nurturing, structured classroom environment. You will guide students through Spalding Phonics, Singapore Mathematics, History, Science, and Literature, with support from an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher to enhance instruction.

Lead teaching role requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• Certification is not required for general education.
• All majors are welcome.
• US work authorization is required, OPT/CPT accepted.
• Employment is contingent upon successful background check and fingerprint clearance.
• Travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
