Roles and Responsibilities: * Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.* Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.* Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.* Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.* Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching. **Required/Preferred Education:** * Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role* Certification is not required for general education* All majors are welcome **Required/Preferred Experience:** K-5 Teaching experience **Required/Preferred Skills:** Excellent oral and written communication skills, and an interest in reading great books. **Physical Functions:** Requires but is not limited to standing, sitting, repetitious hand and body movements, bending, squatting, and reaching.
