Job summary

Mercy Plus is offering a Fieldwork/Practicum Student position for individuals actively pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification and completing required fieldwork hours. Earn $23–$25/hour while gaining hands-on ABA experience alongside experienced clinicians and supervision.

You will work with clients, participate in supervision, and learn assessments, data analysis, and treatment programming as you progress toward certification and potential career advancement within Mercy Plus.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing BCBA/BCaBA certification and completing supervised fieldwork.
• Currently enrolled in a degree or coursework pathway toward BCBA/BCaBA certification.
• ABA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

At Mercy Plus, our Fieldwork/Practicum Student role is designed for individuals who are actively pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification and completing their required fieldwork hours.

Earn $23–$25/hour while gaining hands-on ABA experience, working alongside experienced clinicians, and building the skills you’ll need to take the next step in your career.

What the Role Looks Like

As a Fieldwork/Practicum Student, you’ll work directly with clients while developing the clinical skills you’ll need as a future BCBA or BCaBA.

You’ll have opportunities to learn from experienced BCBAs, participate in supervision, and gain exposure to areas such as assessments, data analysis, treatment programming, behavior plans, caregiver collaboration, and clinical documentation as appropriate to your experience and fieldwork requirements.

The goal is to help you connect what you’re learning in your program to real clinical practice while progressing toward certification.

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct ABA services to clients
• Implement individualized treatment and behavior plans

• Participate in BCBA supervision and clinical training

Compensation

$23–$25/hour while you build your experience

Fieldwork/Practicum Students earn $23–$25/hour while gaining hands-on ABA experience and progressing toward BCBA or BCaBA certification.

Supervised Fieldwork + Mentorship

This role is designed for students who want their work experience and their path toward certification to work together.

You’ll receive supervision and mentorship from experienced clinicians while gaining hands-on experience in a center-based ABA setting. As you progress through your fieldwork, you’ll have opportunities to develop beyond direct care and gain exposure to the responsibilities of a certified clinician.

A Clear Path Forward

We want to support your growth beyond fieldwork.

As you complete your required hours and move closer to certification, there may be opportunities to progress into a Clinical Assistant role, designed for team members who have completed their fieldwork and are preparing for BCBA or BCaBA certification.

After certification, there may be opportunities to transition into an available BCBA or BCaBA position with Mercy Plus.
