Job summary

York Archaeology is seeking a Project Supervisor (Fieldwork) to oversee field programs from Sheffield and supervise site teams across the UK. The role requires travel to sites and potential periods away from home, with accommodation and subsistence provided as needed.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in archaeology and at least 3 years of field experience, with a full UK driving licence and willingness to drive crews. This is a permanent role following a 3-month probationary period.

Qualifications

• Degree in archaeology or related discipline with 3+ years of demonstrable experience.
• Experience supervising plant and overseeing small- to medium-sized field teams.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive YA crew vehicles after training.
