Job summary

Cotswold Archaeology is hiring for a Project Supervisor role based in Andover. You will lead fieldwork projects, ensure delivery to targets, and supervise archaeologists and trainees. Candidates should have proven supervision experience and strong reporting skills.

The role requires a current CSCS card or willingness to obtain one, driving licence, and flexibility to work on protracted away projects with provided accommodation and subsistence. Salary £32,977–£35,665, permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of archaeological practice and Britain’s archaeology across periods.
• Experience supervising small to medium-sized fieldwork projects.
• Ability to author fieldwork reports efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lead specified fieldwork projects to time, budget, quality and safety requirements.
• Mentor Archaeologists and Trainees through performance reviews and coaching.
• Prepare and maintain field records, reports, and project documentation.
