Job summary

QB Energy in Parachute, CO seeks a Zone Operator to safely run production facilities and wells within a designated zone. You will perform checks, burner verifications, tank gauging, fluid handling and routine facility maintenance.

The role requires 1+ year in oil and gas, strong data input skills, and ability to operate emissions control equipment. Expect field duties, potential extended hours, and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years oil and gas industry experience.
• Proactively seek guidance and ask questions to ensure task accuracy.
• Computer literate, including laptops and related technologies.
• Proficient with emissions control equipment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
• Actively participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
• Perform tank strapping and accurately input data for record keeping.
• Coordinate and verify oil and water hauls and sales activities.
• Ensure proper seals on BLM tanks and oil sales valves.
• Complete monthly inspections and compliance tasks on assigned pads.
• Conduct facility and pad inspections, identifying trends or failures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine repairs as needed.
• Conduct Braiden Head audits and document results accurately.
• Perform AVO and ECD inspections with proper documentation.
• Operate emissions control equipment and maintain compliance.
• Report issues requiring additional support or equipment to the Foreman promptly.
• Adapt to dynamic work environments, including extended hours, call-outs, and schedule changes.
