Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to ensure the quality and integrity of welded structures by inspecting work at sites and verifying compliance with standards and specifications.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to uphold welding best practices and report findings promptly. This on-site role requires flexibility in schedule and up to 40% travel to field locations, including outdoor environments, with adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a completed welding certificate program or vocational training.
• AWS or similar welding certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct welding inspections at job sites and submit accurate reports.
• Study and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manuals to understand project requirements.
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
• Partner with fabricators, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project quality and completion per specifications.
• Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor about current job status and locations.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect oneself and others in the work environment.
