Job summary

UES, Inc. seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our geotechnical and construction project teams in Nevada. The role focuses on welding inspections, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards on field sites and fabrication yards.

You'll collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project teams, review documentation, and provide clear findings while upholding a strong safety culture. Moderate travel may be required to support projects across sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a completed welding certificate program or vocational training.
• American Welding Society (AWS) or similar welding certification, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of various welding techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Adaptability and flexibility to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.
• Strong time management, mathematics, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding inspections and provide clear, accurate documentation of findings.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure compliance.
• Partner with project teams, fabricators, and engineers to maintain quality standards throughout construction and fabrication processes.
• Support successful project delivery by identifying issues early and recommending solutions.
• Communicate inspection results and project status with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Promote and uphold a strong culture of safety in the field and on-site.
