The ideal candidate holds an AWS CWI, has 3–5 years of inspection experience, understands welding symbols and code standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, API), and can travel to job sites.

Qualifications

• Active AWS CWI credential required.
• 3–5 years of hands-on welding inspection experience.
• Knowledge of welding symbols and code standards (AWS D1.1, ASME, API).
• NDT certifications (MT/PT/UT) are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual examinations (VT) and dimensional checks of welds and pre-weld fit-ups.
• Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQR, and WPQ.
• Ensure compliance with codes and project blueprints/specifications.
• Document inspection activities, daily field reports, and non-conformance issues.
• Coordinate with project managers, site superintendents, and engineers on QA findings.
• Oversee or perform NDT as required by project scope.
