Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio, requiring a Welding Field Engineer to interpret welding drawings, verify materials, and enforce welding construction per design. You will lead QC staff and ensure conformance to project specs.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5–12 years of welding/quality control experience, with familiarity in ASME/API/AWS standards and welding documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent with 5–12 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to coordinate welding programs, inspect tests, and ensure conformance with codes.
• Strong understanding of ASME, API, and AWS welding standards and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities of subordinate quality control engineers and inspectors.
• Develops and implements inspection plans within an assigned area.
• Monitors progress of construction inspections to ensure alignment with specs.
• Maintains quality control records and welding documentation.
• Coordinates pre/post weld heat treatment and NDE activities.
