Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years welding experience.
• Minimum three (3) years construction industry experience.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment: hand, power and pneumatic tools.
• Welding certification preferred.
• Carpentry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine work pieces for defects and measure as required to specifications.
• Fabricate, set up, and repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear with hand and power tools.
• Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
• Operate vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts.
• Read blueprints and use tape measures, levels and squares.
• Select gear (cables, pulleys, winches) per load and schedule.
• Move heavy equipment through confined spaces using rigging methods.
• Align, level and anchor machinery.
• Fabricate and repair rigging and supporting structures.
• Attach pulleys and blocks to overhead structures.
