Job summary

Mathews Mechanical is seeking an experienced Welder to perform high-quality welding and fabrication for mechanical construction projects, installations, repairs, and field work.

The ideal candidate reads drawings, interprets welding symbols, and works independently while meeting project schedules and quality standards. Strong MIG, TIG, and Stick welding knowledge is essential, with safety and teamwork at the forefront of daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder in mechanical/construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Read measurements and project specifications with accuracy.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and safety focus.
• Reliable attendance and dependable work habits.

Responsibilities

• Welding & fabrication using MIG, TIG, and Stick as required.
• Field installation and fabrication for equipment and systems.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Fit-up, measure, cut, and prepare materials.
• Inspect welds and components for quality.
• Troubleshoot welding and fabrication issues.
• Operate welding equipment safely.
• Maintain safe worksite and PPE compliance.
• Coordinate with team to complete projects.
• Document time, materials, and work performed.
• Support other welding and construction duties.
