Job summary

Cherokee Millwright, Inc. is seeking a Multi-Craft Field Welder for field work in our Operations department. The role involves planning, laying out, welding, installing, and repairing metal components according to blueprints, codes, and specs.

You will work across trades as needed to meet customer requirements in industrial settings. Responsibilities include laying out pieces, welding with various equipment, inspecting work, and maintaining safety and records.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass structural and 6G pipe weld test.
• High School diploma or GED required; two+ years of industrial/commercial experience.

Responsibilities

• Laying out pieces per blueprints/schematics/work orders.
• Welding and fabricating parts using manual/semi-automatic/automatic equipment.
• Positioning pieces in jigs and fixtures for welding.
• Inspecting finished work to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Performing minor maintenance on equipment.
• Adhering to safety practices and maintaining records.
• Collaborating across trades as needed.
