Job summary

Innovational Water Solutions in Iowa is seeking a Water Technician to support industrial, commercial, and agricultural water treatment services. The role involves field work visiting customer facilities, testing water chemistry, and providing recommendations to improve system reliability.

This position favors candidates with a background in agriculture, plumbing, mechanical services, or water treatment, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or chemistry preferred but not required.
Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Strong understanding of or capacity to quickly learn about water systems, including steam boilers, cooling towers, hydronic, and potable systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to compose professional written correspondence and proposals.

Responsibilities

Water chemistry testing and analysis.
Water quality report writing, delivery, and review with customers.
Provide recommendations on how to improve and maintain water quality within steam boiler, cooling tower, hydronic, and potable water systems.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment, including automatic chemical dosing and control systems.
Conduct daily water management service route to customer facilities.
Regularly interact with customer facility management personnel, informing them about water health and advising on improvements.
