Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with one year of experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license or ability to obtain within 45 days.
• Ability to read meters and record readings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters on an assigned route and record readings.
• Clear mud, debris, insects and other vegetation from meter boxes for accessibility.
• Check readings for consistency and report irregularities to supervisor.
• Read 320 water meters per day on a walking route.
• Operate and maintain small service vehicles.
• The majority of duties are performed on-site.
• Handle customer inquiries about meter reads.
• Essential Employees may be required to work during emergencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
