Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Risk Specialist I to drive regulated waste compliance across multiple sites in California. The role conducts site inspections, maintains hazardous waste records, and partners with operations to meet compliance milestones. Travel up to 50% is expected.

The ideal candidate will understand RCRA, DOT, and state rules, and use data to identify gaps and drive corrective actions. Strong communication with site leaders and legal stakeholders is essential.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.
• 2+ years of environmental compliance, regulated waste management, or workplace risk investigations.
• Experience interpreting and applying environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, and applicable state hazardous waste rules).
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to identify compliance gaps and drive corrective actions.

Responsabilidades

• Own the execution and delivery of regulated waste compliance projects and activities, including SOPs, workflows, and inspection routines.
• Apply risk management methods such as waste compliance audits and site inspections to monitor thresholds and take corrective action.
• Collaborate with site teams and compliance operations to clarify waste compliance requirements and drive consensus.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
• Prepare documentation and reports for stakeholders.
