Job summary

Rivian Automotive in Milpitas, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Inventory Specialist to manage finished vehicle inventory at the VDC. You will coordinate yard movements, verify vehicle readiness, and support service centers to reduce order-to-delivery times.

Responsibilities include inventory audits, OTA update support, and cross-functional collaboration with drivers, service technicians, and leadership. A flexible 40-hour week and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of hands-on finished vehicle inventory management experience (1–2 years preferred).
• Familiar with OBL YMS and data export functions.
• Proficient with Google Workspace: Google Sheets and Google Slides.

Responsibilities

• Yard & Inventory Management: manage vehicle movement, maintain lot organization, and ensure proper parking per standards.
• Vehicle Readiness: inspect and process inventory; assist OTA updates and state audits for charge optimization.
• Logistics & Shuttling: shuttle vehicles to service centers or charging stations as needed.
• Training & Career Development: complete RLN modules and mentor teammates; diagnose basic software/ECU issues.
• Team Collaboration: provide cross-functional support and treat inventory/ facility as its own.
