Job summary

Air seeks a Manager of Forward Deployed UX Designers to lead a field-embedded team that deeply understands customer missions. Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• 6+ years in product design with leadership experience.
• Proven track record shaping product outcomes in complex enterprise, analytics, or AI-native software.
• Strong systems thinking across products and workflows.
• Experience co-creating with domain experts and stakeholders in technical domains.
• Hands-on fluency with AI and agentic/model-driven products.
• Solid grounding in research and HCI.

Responsibilities

• Shape the product experience for deployments and connect to how customers reach readiness and how Air wins accounts.
• Design the system with forward-deployed engineering and data partners, defining patterns for human–AI collaboration.
• Co-create with field teams at depots, factories, program offices, and sustainment facilities; align with other roles and go-to-market.
• Grow the team by recruiting, mentoring, and developing forward-deployed UX designers; promote AI-native ways of working.
