Job summary

USIC locates underground utilities and provides mark-out services for contractors and property owners, using a company vehicle and advanced ticketing systems. This role emphasizes safety, problem solving, and field independence.

You will work daytime, full-time in a dynamic environment with opportunities for overtime, weekend work, and on-call shifts as needed to meet project demands. Training is provided, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps, and prints.
• Excellent communication with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Thoroughly search for utilities in a designated area, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time with potential overtime and on-call shifts, including some weekends and holidays.
