Job summary

USIC is seeking an outdoor locator to identify and mark underground utilities within our service area. You will work daytime, full-time, using our company-provided vehicle, performing precise locate work for various utilities.

No prior locating experience is required as we provide a comprehensive training program and opportunities for advancement in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. You must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently (telecommunications, electric, gas, water, sewer).
• Thoroughly search designated areas, mark locations, complete documentation, and photograph each locate.
