Job summary

USIC is hiring locator professionals to locate underground utilities in outdoor field settings. You will work independently, mark locations, document findings, and photograph each locate. The role offers a training program and opportunities for advancement.

Candidates should be comfortable outdoors, able to lift up to 75 lbs, pass a drug screen, and maintain a clean driving record. Overtime, weekend and on-call shifts are typical requirements in this field.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Able to pass a drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Able to walk, bend and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors and homeowners.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities safely and efficiently.
• Thoroughly search designated areas, mark locations, document findings and photograph each locate.
• Meet daytime, full-time schedule with potential overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
