Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor-focused field technicians who can work independently locating underground utilities using our vehicle and equipment. No prior locating experience required, but applicants should be safety-minded, physically capable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform daytime, full-time locates, handle documentation, and communicate with customers and crews.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
• These are daytime, full-time positions with a 48-hour turnaround on many locates; expect overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
