Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor‑savvy field technicians to locate underground utilities and document findings. You’ll work independently in various locations, supporting critical infrastructure safety and accuracy in each locate.

No prior locating experience is required, but experienced locators are encouraged to apply; training is provided and a company vehicle with equipment is supplied to enable success in this role.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on‑call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety‑sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
