Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Utility Locator (Field Technician) to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground. We will train you on the job with 100% paid training and provide a vehicle with a fuel card for daily commuting.

Ideal candidates enjoy outdoor work in all weather, can work independently, and solve problems quickly and accurately. Flexible schedule and on-call shifts may apply, with PTO and holidays offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Carry up to 25 lbs with equipment; lift up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Train entry level Locating Technicians on safety and procedures.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
