Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Utility Locator (Field Technician) to locate underground utilities and mark grounds to prevent damage. We will train you on the job and provide 100% paid training, with a focus on outdoor work in all weather and independent problem solving.

Benefits include a pay rate of $23.00 per hour, company vehicle with fuel card for commute, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lifting up to 25 lbs or more with tool aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop computer to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method & sequence for locating.
• Use provided locate equipment & technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
