Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground outdoors. We will train you on the job and provide the skills needed for success in our 100% paid training program.

Preferred candidates enjoy working outside in all weather, are independent, and can solve problems quickly and accurately. We offer paid training, a company vehicle with a fuel card, and a path to career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Valid driver license with clean record.
• Physically capable of walking up to 5 miles daily 2–3 times a week.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locating method.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
