Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Utility Locator (Field Technician) to locate underground utilities and mark ground areas. We train you on the job and equip you with the skills to succeed, with a 100% paid training program and a focus on safety and accuracy.

You will use maps, blueprints and locate equipment to pinpoint utility lines, while working outdoors in all weather. A valid driver's license, ability to walk several miles, and the willingness to work flexible hours are

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18+ years old and have a valid driver license with a clean record.
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather and walk long distances daily.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, with tool aids can handle heavier loads when needed.
• Pre-employment background and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, document and process tickets using a laptop.
• Read maps and blueprints to determine locating sequence.
• Operate locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Work safely with peers, managers and homeowners.
• Respond to on-call shifts and adapt to emergency requests.
