Job summary

Stake Center Locating is seeking entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground to promote damage prevention in the community. We will train you on the job and equip you with basic skills for success in our 100% paid training.

What you’ll need: outdoors in all weather, a drive to work independently, and strong problem solving with speed and accuracy. Join our team for growth and a career, not just a job.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs and up to 75 lbs with aid.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine best locating method and sequence.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
