Job summary

USIC is seeking field locators in the Phoenix/Mesa area to identify and mark underground utilities, ensuring safe and accurate documentation for utilities like telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer. You’ll work in outdoor settings, travel in a company vehicle, and use ticketing systems to complete locates with precision.

The role requires comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions, strong tech proficiency, and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities in designated areas, mark locations, document tickets, and photograph each locate.
• Work daytime, full-time shifts with possible overtime and weekend work as required.
• Operate safely in outdoor environments and follow company procedures to protect infrastructure.
