Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor-oriented candidates for full-time locator roles in the field. You will locate underground utilities using a company vehicle, complete documentation, and photograph sites as part of accurate mark-out services for excavators and property owners.

Training is provided and growth opportunities exist within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include safe, precise locating of telecoms, electric, gas, water, and sewer systems while meeting a 48-hour turnaround standard.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities, including telecommunications, electric power, cable TV, gas, water, and sewer systems.
• Thoroughly search for underground utilities in a designated area, accurately marking the location, completing the necessary documentation, and photographing each locate.
