Job summary

USIC is seeking Locator candidates in the Pittsfield area to locate underground utilities and mark their positions accurately. You will use company-provided vehicles, photo documentation, and robust ticketing systems to ensure safe, precise locates for telecom, electric, gas, water, and sewer lines.

No prior locating experience is required, as we offer 100% paid training and a clear path for advancement through our CPP and USIC All Stars programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently in designated areas.
• Mark locations accurately, document findings, and photograph each locate.
• Workdays are full-time with potential overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Communicate clearly with team, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
