Job summary

GridHawk LLC is seeking Locate Technicians responsible for accurately locating underground facilities such as telephone, electric, gas, fiber, water, and sewer lines. You will observe, locate, mark, and document locations, using multiple methods, in a team or solo setting under supervision.

A background check and DOT drug test are required. The role involves working in diverse terrains and weather, interpreting prints, and coordinating with management to ensure safe, damage-free operations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• State-issued driver’s license.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher prints.
• Vacuum truck experience A+.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk/stand for multiple hours a day.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Pass a Background screening (no violations within the last 5 years).
• Pass a DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities and verify locations.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and maps.
• Perform locates during regular and on-call hours.
• Communicate with customers and team to ensure damage-free work.
• Work in various terrains and weather conditions.
