Job summary

Plains is a leading transportation and midstream provider with a broad network of pipeline, storage and gathering assets in the United States and Canada. The Utility Locator position focuses on locating facilities, conducting inspections, and coordinating Damage Prevention activities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Work is performed at district offices and in outdoor environments, often in variable weather.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Able to work effectively in a team environment and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark facilities per Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures before and during encroachments and excavation.
• Perform pipeline patrols, leak detection surveys, inspections, and coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.
• Provide oversight and inspection to ensure asset protection and compliance with company procedures near pipeline facilities.
• Inspect/oversee construction and maintenance by third parties and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
