Job summary

Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is seeking a dedicated Utility Locator based in Midland, TX. This role involves locating and marking facilities before encroachments, conducting patrols and inspections, and coordinating local damage prevention efforts.

You will work outdoors in various weather conditions and may be on-call after hours. The position requires reading blueprints, data entry, and collaboration with contractors to ensure pipeline protection while complying with safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Criminal history checks cleared.
• Comply with the companye2a0drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment testing.
• Not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark facilities per Damage Prevention Program and One-Call procedures before and during encroachments and excavation.
• Perform pipeline patrols, population density surveys, leak detection surveys and inspections per procedures.
• Coordinate local Damage Prevention activities.
• Oversee excavation near pipeline facilities ensuring documentation and compliance with company procedures.
• Inspect/oversee construction and maintenance by third parties.
• Train and supervise company and third-party personnel.
• Perform governmental compliance activities.
• Map, record-keeping and data entry per company policies.
