Job summary

Clear Path Utility Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Utility Forester to inspect and manage forestry/vegetation along utility ROWs, ensuring reliability, compliance and safety. You will lead field assessments, coordinate with contractors, and maintain data in GIS applications.

The role requires extensive fieldwork, strong forestry knowledge, and the ability to work independently while fostering positive relationships with landowners and clients.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Arboriculture, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Horticulture, or related field; or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility vegetation management or related vegetation operations.
• ISA Certified Arborist required or ability to obtain within one year.
• ISA Utility Specialist certification preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to hike, travel, and work outdoors in varied weather.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vegetation inspections, tree inventories, and hazard tree assessments along utility corridors.
• Evaluate tree health and growth to recommend vegetation management actions.
• Plan patrol routes, maps, and work packages for daily field activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, landowners, and regulators to execute work.
• Maintain accurate field data and documentation for compliance and reporting.
• Support emergency response and storm restoration as needed.
