Job Description

Our company has an outstanding track record and aims to build long-term relationships with customers. Customer satisfaction is a priority, and we strive to be trusted advisors to our clients.

The customer upgrade team includes Project Management, Field Engineering, and Field Support personnel working in a high-performance culture with demanding cycles and high customer expectations, as we work on mission-critical systems.

Many systems are based on the APCO Project 25 standard. With growing data services, some customer networks are being enhanced with LTE infrastructure for applications like live mobile video transmission, supplementing traditional voice and narrow-band data networks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer presentations
• Possible equipment staging for upgrades
• Plan field activities for upgrades
• Update system documentation
• Perform live system upgrades

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems
• Strong understanding of IP networking, network design, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS)
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA, or similar
• Experience working directly with end-user customers (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated with the ability to focus under pressure

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon
• Knowledge of switching and routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, iBGP, eBGP, M-BGP, MPLS RSVP-TE, LDP)
• Experience with line-of-sight microwave propagation

Travel may be 50-75% for upgrade projects.

Salary Range

$65,900 - $131,800, depending on experience and skills.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 3 years in technical or engineering fields

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
