Job summary

Holt CAT in Longview, Texas is seeking a Field Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair undercarriage components on heavy construction equipment in the field or shop. The role involves removing and installing tracks, rollers, frames, idlers, and sprockets, and performing repairs on broken link assemblies, often using a cutting torch.

Candidates should hold a CDL Class B with air brakes endorsements or be able to obtain one, and must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of heavy construction equipment undercarriage experience preferred.
• CDL Class B with air brakes endorsements or ability to obtain.
• Must pass DOT physical and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic undercarriage repairs on customer sites.
• Disassembles, cleans, inspects, repairs, and assembles undercarriage components.
• Evaluates, measures, and monitors undercarriage conditions.
• Prepares service reports and paperwork.
• Maintains all company equipment, tools, and work areas.
