Job summary

ICE is seeking multiple Construction Inspectors to support Lynchburg, VA infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor work, inspecting roadways, bridges, and drainage, and maintaining meticulous project records. Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with VDOT road/bridge specs and manuals appreciated.
• Ability to read and interpret roadway/bridge plans and specs.
• Familiarity with construction management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor work for quality and contract compliance on roadway/bridge projects.
• Inspect field work including excavations, drainage, road surfaces, and structures.
• Document contractor progress, daily production, and non-compliant work.
• Schedule inspection phases with contractor superintendents and agency personnel.
• Maintain project records, diaries, and pay quantities; review material tests.
