Job summary

Consor is seeking a Construction Inspector to support major transportation infrastructure projects in the Portland metro area. You will oversee field inspections of roadways, bridges, transit facilities, and utilities, ensuring compliance with contract documents, specifications, safety requirements, and agency standards.

The role involves liaising between contractors, project managers, owners, and design teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

2+ years of construction inspection experience on transportation infrastructure.
ODOT project experience.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specs, standards, and contract documents.
Proficiency with MS Office and electronic CM systems.
Knowledge of ADA, MUTCD, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspection of transportation construction projects (highways, bridges, transit, utilities).
Verify contractor compliance with plans, permits, environmental requirements, and agency standards.
Document earthwork, paving, drainage, structures, and traffic control activities.
Review schedules, submittals, and testing results.
Monitor quantities for pay estimates and progress payments.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, labs, and agencies.
Maintain detailed daily reports and field records.
Identify non-conforming work and assist resolution.
Conduct field measurements and layout verifications.
Attend progress and pre-construction meetings; assist change orders.
Support project closeout activities and safety compliance.
