Job summary

Consor is seeking a Senior Transportation Construction Inspector to lead field oversight on major transportation projects in the Portland metro area. You will monitor contractor activity, ensure compliance with plans and safety standards, and collaborate with project teams to deliver quality outcomes.

You will document daily field activities, support change orders, and contribute to project closeout with strong attention to detail and quality control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelor preferred.
• 8+ years of transportation construction inspection experience.
• Experience with ODOT and TriMet projects.
• Knowledge of ODOT specs, ODOT manual, MUTCD, ADA standards.
• Ability to read plans, specs, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with MS Office and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection of transportation projects including highways, bridges, transit facilities, and utilities.
• Verify contractor compliance with plans, permits, and safety requirements.
• Document earthwork, paving, drainage, structures, and ADA elements.
• Review schedules, submittals, and testing results.
• Monitor quantities for pay estimates and progress payments.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors.
