Job summary

Consor is seeking a senior transportation construction inspector to support major projects across the Portland metropolitan area. You will provide extensive field oversight of road, bridge, transit, and utility projects, ensuring compliance with contract documents, safety requirements, quality standards, and agency regulations.

Salary: $70k-$120k. Role involves liaison with contractors, project managers, owners, and design teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum 8+ years of construction inspection experience on transportation infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Perform daily inspection of transportation construction projects including highways, bridges, transit facilities, and utilities.
Verify contractor compliance with plans, specs, permits, environmental requirements and standards.
Inspect earthwork, paving, drainage, structures, signals, lighting, and utility installations.
Monitor quantities for pay estimates and progress payments.
Maintain detailed daily reports, photos, and field records.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and agencies.
Assist in change orders, claims avoidance, and project closeout.
